Today I got my very first VoxBox from Influenster! The box I got is the Holiday VoxBox 2012 and it includes a lot of awesome free stuff. My box includes Quaker Real Medleys Oatmeal, NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine, Kiss Nail Dress, EBOOST (energy supplement), a Goody Quickstyle Brush, and a $25 off coupon for Sole Society shoes! Without the coupon, this box is worth almost $25 and I got it all for free! I'm really excited to start trying out my new stuff and posting reviews. You can check out the picture of my new stuff below and keep looking for my reviews on each item soon!

Influenster
About a month ago I found a website called Influenster and signed up for it. This site is really cool because you can post reviews for your favorite products and earn badges for posting several reviews in each category and taking quizzes. Every few months they send out a VoxBox to select members that includes a lot of awesome stuff. You can check out their site to see some of the past VoxBoxes that they've sent out and read the reviews for those products. You can post your reviews on Facebook or Twitter as well and the more active you are the more likely you are to get the next VoxBox. If you wanna check out Influenster and join you can use the link below for an invitation.

Shopkick
Shopkick is another great app where you can earn points for going shopping. This app is nice because you don't have to buy anything to get points. When you go into a store you can check in and get points for that or use your phone to scan barcodes for the items on their list. There aren't a lot of stores on Shopkick yet but I went into Target the other day and scanned the barcodes on some of their items while I shopped and I earned some points towards getting a gift card. It's really easy to get points because all you have to do is hold the item up by your phone and it will turn on your camera and scan the barcode and give you your points. After you get the points it will bring up a survey but you don't have to do those to get the points. If you get your friends to sign up you can get 2,500 points which is enough for a $10 gift card. If you're interested in Shopkick check out this link to join.

Ibotta
I recently found an app called Ibotta and now it's one of my new favorite apps. This app was just released on Android too so now Android and iPhone users can download it. Ibotta is a really great app because you create an account and then you'll see a bunch of offers that you can complete. These offers are really simple and they're not like those online survey sites where you have to do a whole bunch of stuff to get the money. For each offer all you have to do is complete the tasks and then you go to the store and buy the item and take a picture of your receipt to get the money. The tasks for the offers include voting on polls, learning facts, posting to Facebook, playing trivia, or occasionally watching a video. It only takes a few minutes to complete the tasks and then you're ready to redeem. When you purchase the items at one of the stores listed you can take a picture of your receipt and then choose which items are on that receipt and then they confirm it and post the money to your account for you to withdraw to Paypal. The best part about the offers is that they're for simple everyday items that you would purchase anyway and after a while the app picks up on your preferences and suggests similar items. I've earned $13.75 back so far for buying things like Chapstick, poptarts, Sprite, and Cheez-its. I was going to buy these items anyway so it's even better that I got them and got some money back for buying them. If you're not into couponing but still want to save money this is the way to do it. You can sign up using the link below and get a $5 credit. Oh and it only takes $5 to cash out so you can easily cash out for your purchases!

Tums Freshers
Target had a free sample for Tums Freshers on their website and I just received my sample this week. I actually bought a full sized version of these a few weeks ago because I had a coupon, but I'll take a free sample when I can find one. I really like the Tums Freshers because they come in a smaller container and they aren't weird fruity flavors like a lot of the other Tums. Tums Freshers come in a bottle about the size of a thing of Tic-Tacs so you can take these in your purse or put them somewhere in your car if you need to. That may not seem like a big deal now but just wait until you need one while you're on the go somewhere. It's much easier to tote the Tums Freshers around than it is to carry a full sized bottle of Tums in your purse. They're also much smaller than the regular sized Tums because these are close to the size of a mint instead of the big quarter sized regular Tums. Overall I would say that these are a nice thing to keep around just in case you ever need them and they're definitely worth buying.
Aeroshot Energy
I recently found a free sample of Aeroshot Energy online through their Facebook page and decided to try it out. To complete the offer you have to register on their Facebook page and have 2 of your friends sign up as well. After I did that I waited a few weeks and then I received my free sample. There are 3 colors (pink, yellow, and green) and I got a green one. It was supposed to be green apple flavor but it didn't taste like it to me. It is supposed to be a liquid energy shot, but to me it seemed more like a powder. It was kind of gross and tasted more like a grape chewable vitamin rather than an energy shot. To use the energy shot you have to open it up and suck the powder in. It feels kind of like using an asthma inhaler or something. I didn't feel any more awake or energized after taking the Aeroshot. In the end I definitely prefer energy drinks over Aeroshot and I would not buy this product.
Welcome
On this blog I will be writing honest reviews for products I already own as well as items that I receive free samples of in the mail. So if you're looking for a good review on something before you buy be sure to check here or email me with any ideas.
